This site was created for food lovers, food writers, food critics, chefs, cooks and anyone that knows anything that is not commonly known about food. It is for those that know something that we all know, but say it differently and above all, it is for the curious. You will usually find recipes here, but you will also learn quite a bit about when food began and every edition should leave you a little wiser and more informed than before you read it. We research as thoroughly as is necessary for a non-academic site and our facts are based on extensive reading and proven research. The recipes are all tried and tested and have been lovingly collected over a period of 30 years. However, we do make use of recipes that are sent in to us from time to time and those we gathered along the way – they are all tested before we publish them here. To all those people that contributed to this site without knowing it, I thank you and to the great chefs that teach and inspire – you guys are amazing!
